Vorbereitung einer Grundeinkommenspartei in Schweden...

"Lena Stark, Vice-Chair of Unconditional Basic Income Europe (UBIE), member has founded a new political party, Basinkomstpartiet, to promote basic income in Sweden.
Basinkomstpartiet plans to develop a specific model of basic income for the country, and to run candidates for election in Sweden’s general election in September 2018.
At present, however, the party is still under development–as is the exact model of basic income that it will promote. To become an official political party, Basinkomstpartiet needs 1500 signatures; at the time of this writing, it had approximately 700. In addition to gathering signatures, Basinkomstpartiet, whose core leadership presently consists of five people, is now focused on raising funds and developing a party platform. The party is also gathering a team of researchers and academics to draft a model for its basic income proposal.
While other basic income focused political parties have been described as “single-issue” parties (such as Germany’s Bündnis Grundeinkommen, launched in October of last year), Stark rejects the label of a “single-issue political party” for Basinkomstpartiet, stressing the broad ramifications of the introduction of a basic income."

"The big misunderstanding..." - Karl Widerquist über OECD-Studie zum Basic Income
In einem Blogbeitrag für die Basic Income News beschäftigt sich Karl Widerquist mit den Kosten eines Universal Basic Income und missverständlichen Berechnungen dazu. Darin erwähnt er auch die kürzlich erschiene OECD-Studie. Kate McFarland greift diese Studie in ihrem Beitrag ebenfalls auf. Siehe dazu ebenso die Diskussion zwischen Enno Schmidt und Reiner Eichenberger kurz vor der Volksabstimmung in der Schweiz im vergangenen Jahr. In ihr wird sehr deutlich, dass die Einwände Eichenbergers nicht einfach Finanzierungseinwände sind. Sie ruhen auf bestimmten Staats- und auch Gerechtigkeitsvorstellungen.

Grundeinkommensdiskussion in Kanada - Was ist der Stand der Dinge?

"The pilot is designed to test a guaranteed minimum income, in which participants’ total incomes are topped up to above the poverty line. This income subsidy will supplement any support received from existing anti-poverty programs, which will not be eliminated or replaced during the pilot.
Thus, although it is often referred to by the term ‘basic income’, the policy to be tested in Ontario should be distinguished from the commonly discussed “demogrant” model of basic income, wherein all individuals receive a regular payment of the same amount, regardless of other earnings or total income. Ontario will be investigating a program that supplements the earnings of individuals whose incomes are below a certain level (e.g. the poverty line). In this respect, the pilot is similar to Manitoba’s well-known “Mincome” experiment of the late 1970s."
Mitte September erschien ein Bericht mit dem Titel "Pilot Lessons
How to design a basic income pilot project for Ontario", der Empfehlungen macht, wie ein Experiment angelegt sein sollte. Eine der Autoren ist Evelyn L. Forget, die vor wenigen Jahren Auswertungen der Daten des Mincome-Experiments aus den 70er Jahren in Manitoba veröffentlichte und dabei mit manchem Vorurteil aufgeräumt hatte (siehe "The Town with no Poverty").
